Opportunities, Scholarships & Travel Grants

Pacific Northwest Bleeding Disorders is please to provide the following opportunities, scholarships and travel grants annually. Become a PNWBD member to receive information regarding eligibility, requirements and applications.

Gain Experience

Pacific Northwest Bleeding Disorders offers a non-voting Teen Leadership position on the PNWBD Board of Directors for teens ages 14-18 with a  bleeding disorder or be directly related to someone with a bleeding disorder.

Travel Grants

Thanks to the member Kevin Finkle, aka Crooked Branch, who founded the Crooked Branch Scholarship Fund, PNWBD has the ability to support an individual with a bleeding disorder and a traveling companion to attend either Hemophilia Federation of America Symposium or National Bleeding Disorders Foundation Annual Bleeding Disorders Conference.

Pacific Northwest Bleeding Disorders ofrece becas de viaje a la Conferencia Anual de Familias Sanguíneas para personas con un trastorno hemorrágico y su pareja. Familia de Sangre es la conferencia sobre trastornos sanguíneos más grande del país completamente en español.

Scholarships

Pacific Northwest Bleeding Disorders awards an annual scholarship for post-secondary education for individuals with a bleeding disorder, and their immediate family members, residing in the state of Oregon & SW Washington. Scholarship awards can be used for tuition, room and board, and related expenses at the post-secondary institution (college, university, trade/vocational school).
